After a brief leak on Monday morning, the remastered version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2's campaign is official. Activision announced the remaster on Tuesday, which will be released first on PlayStation 4.
The remastered campaign features "high-definition visuals -- up to 4K resolution and HDR support on console," Activision said in a news release, and an uncapped frame rate and ultrawide monitor support on PC. The original Modern Warfare 2 had 18 missions, including the infamous --- and skippable --- "No Russian" mission, which tasked players with moving through an airport as civilians are killed by terrorists --- you could participate in the killing or not. The game does not include Modern Warfare 2 's multiplayer or Spec Ops modes.
Modern Warfare 2 's campaign remaster also comes with the "Underwater Demo Team Classic Ghost Bundle." This bundle of content for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone includes the new UDT Operator skin for Ghost, two new weapon blueprints, a new weapon charm, a new finishing move, a new voice quip, and a new player card and emblem.
The remastered version of the Modern Warfare 2 campaign is available for purchase now on PlayStation 4, and can be pre-purchased on Xbox One and Windows PC through the Blizzard client.
